Australia's four routes here are all built around skills and employment rather than an investment sum — what qualifies an applicant is their occupation and how they perform against Australia's own points test, or an employer's willingness to sponsor them, not capital brought into the country. Two are aimed at skilled workers applying on their own merits, with or without a state nominating them; the other two run through an employer, either as a standing sponsorship or as a step up from an existing temporary work visa. All four lead toward permanent residence and, eventually, citizenship.
