What Immimaps Is Not
Immimaps is not an immigration agency, not a law firm, and not a service that gets paid to steer you toward a particular program. It doesn't file your paperwork, and it doesn't represent you in front of any government. Understanding what it isn't makes it much easier to understand what it actually does — and where its answers should stop and a professional's should start.
Not an agency
An immigration agency sells you a specific pathway and typically earns money when you choose it. That creates an obvious incentive: the agency's advice and its revenue are tied together, even when the people involved are honest and well-meaning. Immimaps doesn't work this way. We don't take commissions, kickbacks, or referral fees from any immigration program or agency. A report from our free document check reads the same whether or not an agency is even involved in your case — there's no paid placement shaping what gets flagged or how.
This matters most in the document check itself. If we earned money whenever you signed a particular contract, that would be a reason to soften what we flag in it. We don't earn money that way, so there's no such reason.
Not a law firm
Immimaps doesn't offer legal advice or legal representation, and nothing in a report, a comparison, or a pathway plan is a legal consultation. We're not licensed to practice law, and we're not trying to substitute for someone who is. For a decision with real financial or legal consequences — and most immigration decisions qualify — confirm the specifics with a qualified professional before you act.
What Immimaps can do is get you to that conversation better prepared: with a document that's already been checked against the program's real rules, and with a clearer sense of what's missing or worth asking about, rather than showing up with nothing but a proposal you haven't examined.

Not a government service
Immimaps has no authority over any immigration decision. We don't process applications, issue visas, or influence how a government evaluates your case. Every fact we show comes from official published rules, but showing you a rule accurately is not the same as being the body that enforces it. If a decision needs to be made by an immigration authority, it's made by that authority — not by us, and not based on anything Immimaps has told you.
Not a filing service
If your pathway requires forms, submissions, or ongoing correspondence with a government office, that work still needs to happen — through you directly, a lawyer, or an agency you choose to work with. Immimaps doesn't do that part. What it does is help you evaluate the plan and the paperwork before you commit to it, so the filing you do, or pay someone else to do, is going into a pathway you've actually checked.
Not a probability engine
We don't calculate or publish your odds of being approved. We explain this in more depth elsewhere, but the short version is: we don't have trustworthy data to back a number like that, and a guess presented as a statistic would mislead more than it would help. If something promises you a precise success rate, that promise is worth being skeptical of — including if it comes from an agency, and including if it ever came from an AI chatbot answering from memory rather than from checked data.
What Immimaps is, in one line
It's a decision-support tool: a curated database of real program rules, and a free way to check a document against them, built by a team with no financial stake in which pathway you choose.
Everything above is a boundary we hold on purpose, not a gap we're hoping nobody notices. If something about a report or a comparison ever looks like it's crossing one of these lines — steering you toward a specific agency, or implying a guaranteed outcome — that's worth telling us about directly, because it isn't supposed to happen.
