Spain's Non-Lucrative Visa is built for people who can support themselves without earning any income inside the country — retirees, people living off savings, and anyone whose income comes entirely from outside Spain. It's the strictest of the passive-income routes: holders may not work, freelance, or run a business from Spain, even remotely for a foreign employer. Because of that restriction, approval leans heavily on proving stable, ongoing income or assets rather than employment prospects.
